The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), under the visionary leadership of Commandant General Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, reaffirmed its commitment to national security and inter-agency collaboration at the inaugural Monthly Joint Security Press Briefing convened by the National Orientation Agency (NOA).
Represented by its National Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Corps (CSC) Babawale Afolabi, the NSCDC joined other sister security agencies in presenting a united front on issues of national safety and public order.
The platform served as a critical opportunity for the Corps to highlight its proactive security strategies, on-the-ground interventions, and community-based engagements—elements that have increasingly defined the agency's evolving role in the Nigerian security architecture.
> “This forum enables us to shape public perception, promote transparency, and reinforce public trust in our mandate,” CSC Babawale stated.
He credited the Corps’ visible and sustained presence in the national security space to the strategic foresight of the Commandant General, whose leadership has deepened the Corps’ involvement in inter-agency operations and public safety campaigns.
The briefing, which marks a new chapter in security sector communication and synergy, is expected to continue monthly, strengthening collaboration and enhancing public awareness of the efforts by Nigeria’s security institutions.
