Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, has extended warm congratulations to Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, for her daring and inspiring attempt at yet another Guinness World Record — this time by cooking the largest pot of Nigerian jollof rice.

In a message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, Governor Eno described Hilda’s effort as a proud moment for the state and a true reflection of the “Akwa Ibom Spirit.”

“On behalf of the Government and people of Akwa Ibom State, I celebrate you on your bold Guinness World Record attempt, this time by cooking the ‘largest pot of the Nigerian jollof rice,’” the governor stated.

He praised her resilience, creativity, and passion for excellence, stressing that her determination embodies the indomitable can-do mindset for which the people of Akwa Ibom are known. “May your continuous push to conquer every imaginable height in your chosen vocation inspire others — especially our youths — to dream more, dare more, and drive more for success,” Governor Eno added.

Concluding his message, the governor described Hilda Baci as a “daughter of the world, daughter of Nigeria, and daughter of Akwa Ibom State,” while expressing confidence that her achievements will continue to inspire generations.
