The Badagry West Local Council Development Area of Lagos State has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of its Vice Chairman, Princess Oluremi Nutayi Ajose. Her passing comes just two months after she was sworn into office alongside the Council Chairman, Hon. Rauf Ibrahim Kayode Yemaren, popularly known as RIKAY.

Family sources confirmed that her remains have been deposited in a morgue, though the cause of death has not yet been disclosed. The news, which was first reported by Badagry Today and amplified by other local platforms such as Citymood Badagry, has since spread across social media, drawing shock and condolences from residents of the area.

Princess Ajose was a daughter of His Royal Majesty, Oba Oyekan Possi Ajose, the Alapa of Apa Egun-Awori Kingdom. Her death is regarded as a huge loss to the Badagry community, especially coming so soon after she assumed public office with high expectations of service.

As tributes continue to pour in, the council and residents of Badagry West are left to grapple with the unexpected passing of a leader many described as humble, dedicated, and committed to the growth of her people.
