Governor Alex Otti, OFR, has reaffirmed that Abia State is open for genuine partnerships that foster growth and sustainable development, rather than handouts.
He gave the assurance while receiving the U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Richard Mills, during a courtesy visit.
Ambassador Mills commended Governor Otti’s leadership, describing it as a model of improved governance. He noted Abia’s notable progress in areas such as infrastructure, security, youth empowerment, and transparency, which, he said, make the state a promising destination for international partnerships.
Highlighting Abia’s competitive edge, Governor Otti emphasized opportunities in SMEs, healthcare, education, waste management, agriculture, and digital technology. He reiterated his vision of positioning Abia as Nigeria’s SME capital and a hub for sustainable investment.
