The Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Borno State Command, has reaffirmed its commitment to enhanced cooperation with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in tackling economic and financial crimes within the state.
The pledge was made on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, during a courtesy visit by Comptroller Ya’u Ibrahim, the newly posted Maiduguri Command head of NCoS, to the Maiduguri Zonal Director of the EFCC, Commander CE Aisha A. T. Habib.
Ibrahim emphasized that the visit was aimed at strengthening the existing cordial relationship between the two government agencies. “As a new Comptroller recently posted to Maiduguri and as the tradition entails, it is expedient for me to visit your organisation and seek stronger synergy and collaboration for the achievement of our common goals. I believe if the two agencies collaborate, we will achieve more,” he stated.
Responding, Commander Habib commended the visit and assured the NCoS team of the Directorate’s continued dedication to working closely with the Service. “We are looking forward to more fruitful collaboration and synergy,” she said, reiterating the EFCC’s commitment to enforcing its mandate effectively through joint efforts.
The engagement highlights the shared determination of both agencies to curb financial crimes and enhance law enforcement efficiency in Borno State.
