Controversial Lagos socialite Mike Nwalie, popularly known as Pretty Mike, was on Thursday, November 6, 2025, arraigned before the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, on charges related to drug possession and conspiracy.
Pretty Mike, known for his flamboyant lifestyle and eccentric public appearances, was among over 100 individuals arrested during a police raid on his nightclub, Proxy Lagos, on October 26.
Appearing before Justice Ambrose Alagoa, Pretty Mike and his club manager were charged with a three-count indictment bordering on conspiracy, unlawful possession of hard drugs, and permitting the use of their premises for illegal drug activities.
During the court session, both defendants pleaded not guilty to all charges. After hearing arguments from counsel, Justice Alagoa granted them bail in the sum of ₦50 million each, with two responsible sureties in like sum.
The judge further ordered that the sureties must provide verifiable tax clearance certificates and proof of residence within Lagos State.
The court adjourned the case to January 14, 2026, for the commencement of trial.
The arrest and arraignment have sparked mixed reactions across social media, with some of Pretty Mike’s supporters alleging political motivation, while others called for a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served.
