Abducted Pastor’s Nine-Year-Old Son Regains Freedom in Ondo State

A nine-year-old boy, Victor Oluwatobi, who was abducted by armed men in Idogun, Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, has regained his freedom after spending three weeks in captivity.

The incident occurred in Idogun community, Ose Local Government Area of , where the victim, the son of a local pastor, was taken away by unidentified gunmen during an armed invasion of the area. The abductors reportedly whisked the child away to an unknown destination, sparking immediate concern among residents and prompting security responses across surrounding communities.

Following the abduction, security agencies, including the and local security structures, were mobilised to track the movement of the suspects and locate the victim. Joint search efforts were carried out in coordination with community vigilante groups across forested areas linking Ose Local Government to neighbouring communities within the state.

After approximately three weeks in captivity, the boy was released and reunited with his family in Ondo State. Security and community sources confirmed his release, noting that he was found alive and has since been returned to his relatives.
