Galatasaray are facing a defining moment in the summer transfer window as two clubs — one from Europe and another from Saudi Arabia — have each tabled separate offers worth €120 million for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, according to multiple reports.

The Turkish Super Lig champions, who signed Osimhen permanently from Napoli last year in a club-record €75 million deal, have so far rejected both approaches. Despite the growing interest from different parts of the football world, Galatasaray have shown no signs of changing their position.

The first formal approach came from an unnamed European club, which informed Galatasaray officials of their willingness to pay €120 million for the 27-year-old striker. Turkish transfer specialist Burhan Can Terzi confirmed that the club had communicated its readiness to meet the substantial fee, but Galatasaray management did not provide a favourable response. A second offer, reportedly from a Saudi Arabian club, has since emerged with an identical valuation, though the identity of the suitor remains undisclosed.

Prior to these developments, Galatasaray had already rejected a €120 million bid from Atlético Madrid, as well as a verbal offer of €125 million from another unnamed European club. The club's resolve to keep Osimhen has been further stiffened by the expected departure of Mauro Icardi, whose contract expires at the end of June.uh

Club president Dursun Özbek reportedly values Osimhen at €150 million and has no intention of opening transfer talks with interested clubs. Turkish football pundit Nevzat Dindar, who spoke directly with Özbek on the matter, confirmed the club's position. "I spoke with the president... He absolutely does not intend to sell Osimhen. There are offers worth €120m through intermediaries, but they are not concrete. The priority is for Osimhen to stay with the team. But if Osimhen wants to leave, Galatasaray will not accept an offer below €150m. Osimhen also has no intention of leaving," Dindar told Milliyet.

Beyond financial considerations, Galatasaray are planning to offer Osimhen both the captain's armband and the iconic No. 9 jersey — currently occupied by Icardi — as part of a retention strategy designed to give the Nigerian a deeper emotional and symbolic investment in the club's future. The club is also believed to be preparing a new long-term contract that would run until 2029 with a substantial salary package.

Osimhen enjoyed an outstanding first full season with Galatasaray following his record transfer, scoring 22 goals and providing eight assists in 33 matches across all competitions, helping the Turkish giants successfully defend their Süper Lig title. He has now scored 59 goals in 74 appearances for the club.

Manchester United, Barcelona, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Atlético Madrid have all been linked with the Nigerian international. Atlético Madrid are reportedly eyeing him as a potential replacement should Julian Alvarez depart for Barcelona. However, Osimhen himself has repeatedly spoken warmly of his time in Istanbul and expressed a desire to remain at the club.

Although Saudi Pro League clubs have previously been ready to offer Osimhen contracts worth more than $50 million per year, the Nigerian international has consistently been linked with a desire to remain in Europe. A move to the English Premier League has also been described as one of his long-term ambitions, meaning the transfer story is far from over as the summer window continues.

As the new season approaches, the Turkish giants are keen to keep Osimhen as they strive to compete for additional trophies both domestically and in European competitions.
