The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Yobe State Chapter, has announced plans to showcase the remarkable achievements of Governor Mai Mala Buni across all 17 local government areas of the state. The initiative aims to highlight the governor’s developmental strides and policy impact at the grassroots level.
Speaking ahead of the event, ALGON Chairman and Executive Chairman of Damaturu Local Government Area, Hon. Bukar Adamu, said the programme will focus on critical sectors including healthcare, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and youth empowerment. He emphasized that the initiative will provide an avenue for the public to reflect on the tangible outcomes of Governor Buni’s policies and developmental projects.
Hon. Adamu revealed that the event is scheduled to hold on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the August 27 Stadium, Damaturu, beginning at 11:00 AM. He also announced that the Deputy Governor of Yobe State, His Excellency Hon. Idi Barde Gubana, will serve as the Special Guest of Honour for the occasion.
The ALGON Chairman assured that the event will not only celebrate Governor Buni’s vision for Yobe State but also foster stronger collaboration between the state and local governments in driving sustained development and improving the welfare of citizens.
