In a bold move to protect pensioners and restore trust in the system, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has signed a partnership agreement with the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD).
The ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, led a delegation of senior officials to PTAD headquarters, where they were warmly received by the Executive Secretary, Tolulope Abiodun Odunaiya. The visit marked the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two agencies.
The agreement is designed to clamp down on corrupt individuals who take advantage of retirees, ensuring transparency in pension payments and strengthening accountability in the system. With this collaboration, pensioners can look forward to a process that is not only more transparent but also safer from fraudsters.
Both leaders stressed that this partnership is a step toward restoring confidence and dignity for pensioners who have given years of service to the nation.
