In a powerful show of faith and unity, over 1,000 prayer warriors from the Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC) will converge this Saturday in Ilorin, Kwara State, to intercede for Nigeria’s economic recovery and the success of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Speaking to journalists on Thursday, Evangelist Thomas Adeboye, the Kwara State chairman of OAIC, called on all Nigerians to join in spiritual reflection and prayer as the nation battles socio-economic instability, banditry, and political uncertainty.
> “Nigeria needs prayer over banditry, the ailing economy, and the threatening political situation,” Adeboye said.
“We must feature special prayers for President Tinubu and the governors for God’s wisdom and direction.”
The gathering, organized by the OAIC, is part of a nationwide spiritual campaign aimed at invoking divine intervention amid Nigeria’s pressing challenges.
Evangelist Adeboye further urged leaders to adopt people-centered policies, acknowledging ongoing government efforts but stressing the need for policies that balance endurance with impact.
> “We know that he [Tinubu] and the governors are trying,” he noted.
“We implore them to always make sure that whatever policies they intend to formulate must be endured and enjoyed by the populace.”
This mass intercessory event is expected to draw clerics and worshippers from across Nigeria, reflecting a growing call for spiritual solutions to Nigeria’s complex problems.
