The Nigerian Army Intelligence School (NAIS), TEGO Barracks, Apapa, has graduated participants of its Second Quarter Courses for 2025, at a ceremony held on 15 August 2025 in Bala Mande Hall of the school.
The graduation featured seven specialised courses, namely:

-
Counter Intelligence SNCOs Course 28
-
Document Security Course 65
-

The Special Guest of Honour (SGOH), Commander 9 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Olawale Matthew Oyekola, congratulated the graduands, describing training as the “best welfare” the Army can provide its personnel. He expressed confidence that the students are now better equipped to support their units and formations in tackling the wide range of security threats confronting the nation, including banditry, terrorism, economic sabotage, kidnapping, secessionist activities, and farmers-herders’ clashes.
General Oyekola commended the Commandant of NAIS, Brigadier General Kingsley Nwoko, for aligning the school’s curricula with contemporary security realities, particularly the reviewed Exercises DESERT CHASE and SPIDER WEB, which were tailored to reflect the dynamic nature of modern warfare and intelligence operations.
“Going through this course and scoring high grades is not enough; what makes you a professional intelligence operative is your ability to practically apply the classroom teachings and exercises to real-life situations. Commanders will depend on your inputs more than ever before to succeed,” Brigadier General Oyekola advised.
He also conveyed the appreciation of the students to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General OO Oluyede, for authorising and funding the courses, and to the Chief of Military Intelligence (Army), Major General TB Ugiagbe, for his strategic direction and guidance to NAIS.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of awards to outstanding students, the exchange of souvenirs, and group photographs with dignitaries and participants.
