Apostle Suleman Blasts Dangote Industries After Fatal Auchi Accident

The President of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has taken a swipe at Dangote Industries Limited, accusing the company of reckless operations after one of its trucks allegedly killed three persons in Auchi, Edo State.

The fiery cleric, in a strongly-worded statement, lamented the rising cases of lives lost to Dangote-owned trucks, stressing that the company’s “carelessness” has turned many families into mourners.

“Dangote Industries, you are not the only rich man on earth. Your recklessness in managing your business has caused harm to families and made many parents childless. Your truck just killed three persons few minutes ago in Auchi. You give trucks to little boys who are high on drugs and untrained. This won’t go unchallenged,” Suleman declared.

The cleric, visibly angered by the tragedy, insisted that wealth should not be an excuse for negligence, warning that the lives of ordinary Nigerians must never be treated as expendable.

This latest incident is not the first time Dangote trucks have been linked to road carnage.

  • In 2018, a Dangote truck was involved in the Otedola Bridge fire accident in Lagos, which claimed over nine lives and destroyed more than 50 vehicles.

  • In 2020, residents of Ogun State protested after a Dangote truck allegedly crushed several schoolchildren.

  • In 2022, another Dangote truck accident along the Benin–Ore expressway left multiple casualties, sparking fresh calls for tighter regulation of heavy-duty vehicles.

Despite repeated outcries, critics argue that not enough has been done to ensure safety, with drivers often accused of reckless speeding, drug abuse, and lack of proper training.

While Dangote Industries remains Africa’s largest conglomerate, questions continue to linger over corporate responsibility versus profit. Apostle Suleman’s comments have reignited public anger, with many Nigerians demanding accountability and stricter safety regulations for company-owned trucks.

For the victims’ families in Auchi, the grief is fresh, but the message from Suleman is clear: enough is enough.
