The National Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), His Excellency Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, PhD, FNSE, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, paid a condolence visit in Abuja to the esteemed Islamic scholar and Mufassir, Sheikh Sharif Saleh, following the death of his beloved son, Jafar.
During the visit, Kwankwaso extended his heartfelt sympathy to Sheikh Saleh and his family, describing the loss as a painful moment not only for the immediate family but also for the wider Muslim community that holds the cleric in high regard. He prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and asked Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant Jafar Jannatul Firdaus, while also granting the family the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
The NNPP leader emphasized the importance of standing with one another in times of grief, noting that such moments call for compassion, unity, and faith. He encouraged the bereaved family to find solace in the will of Allah and in the enduring legacy of their son’s life.
The visit by Senator Kwankwaso was widely acknowledged as a show of solidarity, reflecting the deep respect and relationship he maintains with Islamic scholars and religious leaders across the country.
