NSCDC Commandant General Visits Akure, Pledges Strengthened Security Collaboration in Ondo State

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, has continued his operational tour of the South-West region with a strategic visit to Akure, the Ondo State capital.

During a meeting with the Executive Governor at the Government House, Professor Audi reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to strengthening partnerships with the Ondo State Government, other security agencies, and local communities to enhance public safety and protect critical national assets and infrastructure.

“Robust collaboration among security stakeholders remains essential to tackling emerging threats and sustaining peace and development across the state,” Professor Audi said, emphasizing that the NSCDC will continue to discharge its duties with professionalism, integrity, and dedication.

In response, the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, described the visit as timely and vital for advancing collective security objectives. He commended the NSCDC for its visible presence and effective coordination with other agencies in safeguarding lives and sensitive installations throughout the state.

“The government pledges full support to the NSCDC in the discharge of its duties,” Governor Aiyedatiwa stated.

The visit is part of Professor Audi’s ongoing efforts to assess field operations, boost personnel morale, and deepen security interventions across the South-West region, reinforcing the Corps’ strategic mandate to maintain peace and protect citizens.
