The Ihiala Local Government Area (LGA) witnessed a historic and vibrant turnout during the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) rally held in support of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s re-election.
Chief Vin Ezeaka, Esq., Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), expressed delight over the massive crowd, describing the event as a carnival celebrating a governor whose leadership has positively impacted the LGA and endeared him to the people.
Supporters from all 10 communities within Ihiala LGA—Mbosi, Azia, Isseke, Lilu, Ubuluisiuzor, Orsumoghu, Okija, Ihiala, Uli, and Amorka—as well as neighboring communities joined in the rally, showcasing unprecedented enthusiasm and unity.
Chief Ezeaka praised Governor Soludo for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people, emphasizing that the governor’s visit was primarily an opportunity to engage with his constituents, rather than a campaign for votes.
The LGSC Chairman highlighted the N50 million gift presented by the host LGA in appreciation of Governor Soludo’s good works and welcomed the governor’s pledge of cash rewards for victorious wards in the November 8 governorship election.
He also commended the governor for commissioning new building blocks at St. Jude’s Secondary School, Ihiala, donated by Keystone Bank, and for the ongoing rehabilitation of key roads, including the old government house road and Civil Service Road in Awka.
Chief Ezeaka expressed optimism that the Anambra electorate will turn out en masse to re-elect Governor Soludo for a second term, citing the governor’s impactful achievements and dedication to development across the state.
