The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced plans to seek the forfeiture of Proxy Night Club in Victoria Island, Lagos, following a late-night raid over the weekend that uncovered what officials described as a drug-themed party.

According to a statement issued by NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi, the agency warned that nightclub owners, event venues, and property managers found to be accommodating or encouraging drug-related activities would risk losing their assets to the Federal Government.

During the raid, NDLEA operatives arrested Lagos socialite Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike, alongside more than 100 party guests. The sting operation, which began with surveillance around 11 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, culminated in a coordinated swoop at approximately 3 a.m. on Sunday.

Recovered items reportedly included cartons of Canadian Loud, canisters of nitrous oxide (popularly known as laughing gas), and other illicit substances, found both on guests and within the club premises.

While several attendees were released after profiling and counseling, Pretty Mike and his manager, Joachin Millary, remain in custody as investigators continue to probe their alleged connection to the seized 384.882 kilograms of cannabis and related materials.

The agency described such drug parties as clear violations of the NDLEA Act, warning that it will not hesitate to prosecute offenders or confiscate assets linked to criminal activity.

NDLEA further urged parents, community heads, and civic groups to remain alert and join efforts to combat the rising culture of drug abuse, especially among young people.

“No property or business enterprise is worth more than human lives. We will continue to act decisively against anyone promoting or normalizing drug use in any form,” the statement concluded.
