The Executive Governor of Jigawa State has received Mrs. Eleni Sotiriou and her team from HEART DOCTORS, a group of volunteer medical practitioners from Greece, who spent the past week providing free healthcare services across communities in the state.

Governor noted that the volunteers traveled extensively through local communities, offering medical care and distributing medicines free of charge, reaching people who may otherwise have limited access to healthcare.

He said the team expressed admiration for the organization of communities, road infrastructure, clinics, and the resilience of Jigawa residents, emphasizing that their observations reflect the impact of ongoing government efforts to strengthen health services and local infrastructure.

“Hearing such feedback from visitors who have worked across many countries means a lot. It tells us that the quiet work we’re doing to strengthen health and infrastructure is making a real difference,” the Governor said.

The Governor described the visit as a reminder that small acts of service matter, pledging that his administration will continue to improve living conditions one community at a time, aiming to make life easier for the people of Jigawa State.
