President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday, November 3, 2025, held a high-level strategic meeting with Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd), Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Discussions centered on strengthening Nigeria’s ongoing fight against drug trafficking, reinforcing law enforcement strategies, and promoting national security. Both the President and the NDLEA boss explored ways to enhance the agency’s operational capacity, reform existing frameworks, and improve inter-agency collaboration in tackling drug-related crimes.

The meeting also emphasized the administration’s renewed determination to curb the spread of illicit substances, rehabilitate victims of drug abuse, and ensure a safer, more productive Nigeria.

According to a presidency source, the engagement highlights President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to supporting key security and anti-narcotics agencies in building a drug-free society.
