Abuja – November 7, 2025: Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has accused Senator Prince Ned Nwoko and senior police officers of threatening members of actress Regina Daniels’ family following public intervention in an ongoing dispute.
Sowore, in a statement released Friday, alleged that after his earlier condemnation of the senator’s actions, Nwoko and his alleged police collaborators began pressuring the family to issue an apology and compel Regina Daniels’ return to a rehabilitation center in Abuja.
He further claimed that the lawmaker is plotting to arraign Regina’s mother and have her “summarily committed to prison,” describing the move as another act of impunity backed by compromised police authorities.
“The illegally appointed Inspector General of Police must be held accountable for the lawlessness happening under his watch,” Sowore stated, calling on Nigerians to resist the growing trend of abuse of power and police intimidation by influential individuals.
The allegations have sparked fresh public debate about the intersection of political power, law enforcement, and individual rights in Nigeria.
