Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has reportedly been released from a prison in the United Kingdom, according to posts circulating on social media.
The reports emerged on Friday, 11 September 2026, days before Poco Lee is listed to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on Tuesday, 15 September 2026, for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
A social media post by influencer Pamilerin Adegoke stated that Poco Lee had regained his freedom. The claim was subsequently shared by entertainment pages and other social media users.
No statement confirming his release had been issued by Poco Lee, his management, the UK prison authorities, Snaresbrook Crown Court or the Metropolitan Police at the time of publication.
The reported release does not remove the scheduled court hearing from the public record. Snaresbrook Crown Court previously confirmed that the case was listed for plea and trial preparation on 15 September.
The court’s administrative team confirmed the hearing date in correspondence with Nigerian media in August. The court did not provide full details of the allegations in that correspondence.
Poco Lee had previously been reported to be on remand in the United Kingdom ahead of the September court appearance.
His management issued a statement on 25 August addressing reports surrounding the case. The team denied claims that the matter involved alleged drink spiking.
The management said the drink-spiking claim did not form part of the allegations or charges before the UK court. It urged the public and media organisations to avoid circulating unverified information.
Reports about the dancer’s detention first appeared in August. Some accounts alleged that he was being held on remand pending the court hearing.
The court listing confirmed that legal proceedings involving Poco Lee were scheduled at Snaresbrook Crown Court. A plea and trial preparation hearing is a stage in criminal proceedings where the court addresses the defendant’s plea and preparations for the case.
The outcome of the 15 September hearing has not been determined. Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence, and any allegations before the court remain allegations unless proven in court.
Social-media claims that an accuser withdrew a complaint or that a case was dropped have not been confirmed by the court, Poco Lee’s management, police or prosecutors.
No official information has been released on the conditions of Poco Lee’s reported release, including whether he was granted bail, released under restrictions or discharged from custody for another reason.
The scheduled court appearance remains the principal verified development in the case. Court proceedings in the United Kingdom are generally open to the public, although hearing times and courtroom details are usually confirmed close to the date.
Poco Lee is one of Nigeria’s most prominent dancers and entertainers. He has built a large following through dance performances, music videos and collaborations with Nigerian artists.
The reports of his release have generated wide reaction online, with fans and entertainment pages sharing messages about the development.
However, the absence of a statement from Poco Lee, his representatives or the court means that the reported release remains unconfirmed by official sources.
The case has also highlighted the need for caution when reporting criminal allegations involving public figures. Claims shared online can differ from the information formally released by courts, police, lawyers or the people directly involved.
Poco Lee’s management has already asked the public not to spread unverified claims. The team’s statement focused particularly on reports linking the case to drink spiking, which it said was not part of the legal matter before the court.
The forthcoming hearing remains listed for Tuesday, 15 September, at Snaresbrook Crown Court. The hearing provides the next verified point in the legal process.
Poco Lee’s legal status in the United Kingdom has not been publicly clarified by the court or his management since the latest reports of his release began circulating.
Stone Reporters News will provide updates based on verified information released by Snaresbrook Crown Court, Poco Lee’s management, his legal representatives or relevant UK authorities.
