In a strategic move to accelerate industrialization and economic diversification, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State has officially unveiled the logo of BMCC Nigeria Ltd, a joint venture between the Bauchi State Government and China’s Shandong Minsheng Group, one of the Asian nation’s foremost industrial conglomerates.
The unveiling ceremony, held at the Government House in Bauchi, marked a major milestone in the state’s ambition to harness its mining and natural resource potential through international collaboration.
The newly launched BMCC logo, a fusion of traditional Bauchi design elements and modern industrial aesthetics, was described as a symbol of innovation, unity, and cross-cultural synergy.
Governor Mohammed hailed the partnership as a bold and forward-looking initiative that aligns with his administration’s core pillars of job creation, sustainable development, and economic resilience.
> “This collaboration represents more than a business agreement—it is a long-term investment in the future of Bauchi State. We are offering full support: from infrastructure and investor protection to administrative ease and a secure operating environment,” the governor said.
He emphasized that the state government would work closely with Shandong Minsheng Group to ensure the project operates smoothly and delivers lasting benefits to local communities.
Representing the Chinese delegation, Shandong Minsheng Group’s Managing Director expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reiterated the company’s commitment to deploying advanced technology and industry best practices in BMCC’s operations.
> “This partnership is consistent with Shandong Province’s international economic outreach strategy. We are excited to bring cutting-edge mining solutions and local empowerment to Bauchi,” she said.
Mr. Paul, head of the Chinese exploration team, confirmed that technical assessments and geological surveys are already in progress in Dass and Toro Local Government Areas, with prospects for future investments in agriculture and renewable energy also being considered.
BMCC Nigeria Ltd is envisioned as a flagship example of Sino-African cooperation, focusing on environmental responsibility, local capacity building, and innovation-led mineral extraction.
The project is backed jointly by Bauchi State Government and Shandong Province, positioning Bauchi as a new frontier in Nigeria’s quest for resource-based industrial development.
