The Kano State Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with the murder of Abdallah Usman, a male resident of Tsamiyar Kuturu in Dorayi Karama Quarters, Kano.

The arrest, which took place on August 5, 2025, followed a well-coordinated joint operation by officers from the Department of Operations, Dorayi Babba Division, Sharada Division, Kumbotso Division, and other tactical units. The swift response came after a 24-hour ultimatum was issued by the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, directing that the culprits be apprehended without delay.

Dangerous weapons, including cutlasses, a pair of scissors, and other sharp objects, were recovered during the operation.

> “The suspects, all residing in different areas of Dorayi Karama, are currently in custody while investigations continue to track down additional fleeing suspects,” said SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, Police Public Relations Officer.

The Kano State Police Command expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and commended the involved officers for their professionalism and diligence in executing the arrests.

> “We remain committed to ensuring justice is served and maintaining peace across the state,” the statement added.
