SOLUDO COMMISSIONS NZAM ROAD, BOOSTS CAMPAIGN MOMENTUM IN ANAMBRA WEST

The newly asphalted 13-kilometre Nzam road, with a 1.3-kilometre spur leading to the Anambra West Council headquarters, has been officially opened to traffic. Governor Chukwuma Soludo, who performed the commissioning, recalled his earlier visit to the area where he promised to address the plight of the people, urging them to continue supporting his administration.

With the Anambra State off-cycle governorship election barely two months away, Governor Soludo, the flagbearer of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has intensified his campaign outreach, moving into hard-to-reach parts of the state while commissioning, inspecting and flagging off projects as proof of his administration’s achievements in the past three years.

During his visit to Anambra West on Wednesday, 17th September, the governor described the day as historic, saying the road project fulfilled a promise he made to the people. He noted that the road will not only ease transportation but also boost commerce by linking the area directly to neighbouring Kogi State.

For many stakeholders, the construction of the once inaccessible road has changed the narrative for Anambra West, a local government long seen as neglected. They however appealed for further government interventions in other critical sectors.

Governor Soludo also made stopovers at rural markets in the area where he interacted with traders before heading to a reception organised in his honour at the council headquarters. The event also witnessed the defection of hundreds of new members into the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance.
