Ogun State has strengthened its investment and development drive with the announcement of a strategic partnership with Shandong Luqiao, a leading subsidiary of the Fortune Global 500 conglomerate, Shandong Hi-Speed Group. The collaboration aims to accelerate infrastructure and industrial growth across the state.
Governor Dapo Abiodun led a high-level delegation to China, engaging in intensive discussions with Shandong Luqiao’s top leadership. The talks focused on exploring avenues for collaboration on large-scale infrastructure projects, with the Chinese firm highlighting its extensive expertise in bridge construction, highway engineering, and municipal development.
Shandong Luqiao holds first-class contracting licenses in construction, hydropower, and power engineering and has been internationally recognized for delivering landmark infrastructure projects worldwide. The firm’s impressive portfolio positions it as a key partner in advancing Ogun State’s infrastructural ambitions.
“This partnership represents a significant milestone in our administration’s commitment to positioning Ogun as the hub of modern infrastructure and industrial development in Nigeria,” Governor Abiodun said, underlining the strategic importance of the collaboration for the state’s socio-economic growth.
The discussions also explored the transfer of technical knowledge and technology from Shandong Luqiao to Ogun State, ensuring that local engineers and construction professionals benefit from international best practices.
