Dutse, Jigawa State – The Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi Danmodi, on Saturday welcomed a delegation from @agrighar India to the Government House in Dutse, marking the signing of a strategic partnership aimed at transforming the state’s agricultural sector.
Governor Danmodi described the collaboration as a decisive step toward unlocking Jigawa’s agricultural potential. He noted that a recent study by the Indian team confirmed what the state has long believed: Jigawa possesses both the land and the determination to lead in agriculture.
The Governor emphasised that the initiative goes beyond investment, highlighting its focus on empowering farmers, particularly women and young people, to increase production, processing, and income from agricultural activities. “Bit by bit, we’re building a future where ‘Made in Jigawa’ stands for quality and pride, not just within Nigeria but far beyond,” he said.
According to Danmodi, implementation of the partnership will begin immediately, ushering in a new phase of agribusiness growth in Jigawa State. The agreement reflects the administration’s commitment to fostering sustainable agricultural development and economic empowerment across the state.
