Nigeria’s National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has made history as the first African government agency to be formally admitted and inducted into the World Association of Young Scientists (WAYS).
The milestone recognition was confirmed this week following WAYS’ annual plenary, which gathers national science institutions, research organizations, and young innovators from over 60 countries.
With this admission, NASENI joins an exclusive group of global institutions championing youth-led scientific innovation, cross-border research collaboration, and the development of sustainable technologies.
Officials at NASENI have hailed the induction as a significant step toward positioning Nigeria at the forefront of global scientific research and youth innovation initiatives.
