Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), visited the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) to engage with officials on initiatives aimed at safeguarding intellectual property while supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
During the visit, Okonjo-Iweala met with CEO H.E Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Swailem and his team, as well as H.E Ambassador Saqer Al-Moqbel, Chair of the WTO General Council. She praised the steps being taken by SAIP to enhance understanding and effective use of intellectual property rights.
Okonjo-Iweala encouraged continued progress and collaboration to maintain the positive momentum in intellectual property protection and SME development.
