Cameroon’s President Paul Biya, 92, has been declared the winner of the country’s presidential election, securing an eighth consecutive term in office.
Biya, who has held power since 1982, will now extend his leadership until 2032, making him one of the longest-serving leaders in Africa.
The election result continues his decades-long dominance over Cameroonian politics, amid ongoing debates over political reform and governance in the country.
