Chioma G. Ifemeludike, the African Action Congress (AAC) candidate, polled a total of 292 votes in the recently concluded Anambra State governorship election. The final figures, officially released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), reflect the results of a competitive race that drew candidates from multiple political parties across the state.

While the election was widely presumed to be peaceful, observers reported instances of vote buying in several polling units, highlighting ongoing challenges in ensuring full electoral integrity. Despite these concerns, the election proceeded largely without major disruptions, and Ifemeludike’s participation underscores the efforts of smaller parties to engage in the democratic process and offer voters alternative choices.

The election, held across Anambra’s 21 local government areas, marks another chapter in the state’s political landscape, reflecting both the dominance of established parties and the persistence of emerging voices seeking to shape governance in the state.
