The Rivers State Police Command has achieved a major breakthrough in its ongoing battle against organized crime, following the successful dismantling of a violent cult network operating in Diobu, Port Harcourt.
According to the Command, the operation follows months of violent clashes between two rival groups — the Blood Suckers (BS) and D12 — both identified as factions of the notorious Deygbam cult.

Explaining the reason behind the earlier silence on the case, the Command said the move was deliberate — a strategy to prevent panic and ensure the arrest of all accomplices.
“The Command's temporary silence on the investigation was strategic to prevent escalation and apprehend potential accomplices.”
According to the police, all arrested suspects are already facing prosecution, while others still under investigation — including Ejike and Anwusor — will soon be charged to court.
“The suspects are currently facing prosecution in court, while the additional suspect, Michael Ejike and Clinton Anwusor will face prosecution upon completion of a thorough investigation.”
Concluding, the Rivers State Commissioner of Police said the successful operation has brought calm to Diobu and neighboring areas, urging residents to remain alert and continue supporting law enforcement efforts.
“The CP noted that these arrests have restored peace to Diobu and the state at large and commends Community cooperation and urges vigilance.”
