The Adamawa State Police Command has officially dismissed claims that a Nigeria Police Force Hilux vehicle was seized by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Yola for wrongful parking. In a statement released on 10 December 2025, the Command described the circulating reports as “false, misleading, and unfounded,” asserting that no operational police vehicle was impounded by FRSC in Yola or anywhere in Adamawa State.
Preliminary investigations by the Police Command indicated that the allegation appears to have been propagated by mischief makers seeking to create unnecessary tension and misrepresent the strong working relationship between the Nigeria Police Force and the Federal Road Safety Corps. The Command emphasised that the two agencies maintain a cordial and collaborative partnership in ensuring public safety and law enforcement across the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, ANIPR, further urged members of the public and media platforms to disregard the reports and rely solely on verified information from credible sources. He stressed the importance of verifying information before dissemination to prevent the spread of misinformation that could cause public alarm.
The Adamawa State Police Command reiterated its commitment to transparency and collaboration with all sister security agencies in the state, reassuring residents that operational integrity and lawful conduct remain priorities for the Force.
