The National Youth Service Corps member and lawyer, Miss Eunice Ameh, who was declared missing under troubling circumstances after leaving her workplace in Abuja, has been found unharmed, bringing immense relief to her family, colleagues, and the legal community. The development was confirmed by a family source on the morning of Sunday, May 10, 2026, ending days of uncertainty and widespread concern over her whereabouts.

Miss Ameh, who was serving in the Federal Capital Territory under the NYSC scheme and also working as a Sales Manager, was last seen on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. She had closed from her place of work, Blades and Butchers Ltd, located on Lake Chad Crescent in the highbrow Maitama district of Abuja, at approximately 5:40 p.m. and was heading home to a corps members' lodge in the Life Camp area when she vanished. Her sudden disappearance triggered immediate anxiety among her colleagues and relatives, who reported the matter to the Maitama Police Division and the NYSC authorities.

The case quickly drew the attention of the Nigerian Bar Association, which deemed the situation a deep personal loss to the entire legal profession. In a statement titled "Release Eunice Ameh Now!", NBA President Afam Osigwe (SAN) called on the Inspector General of Police to deploy all tactical and intelligence resources toward securing her release and ensuring that anyone connected to the incident is brought to justice. Before her rescue, reports had also emerged that her suspected abductors had demanded a ₦20 million ransom, adding to the family's trauma. However, the exact details of the ordeal remain unclear as of this report.

The breakthrough came on Sunday. A family source confirmed that she had been found unharmed that morning, simply stating that Eunice has been found unharmed this morning. While the specifics of where she was located and the circumstances of her rescue have not yet been made public, the confirmation of her safety has brought an end to a traumatic chapter for her loved ones.

Eunice Ameh had resumed work at Blades and Butchers Ltd barely two weeks before her disappearance and was also preparing to complete her NYSC programme when the incident occurred. The family, which had earlier described the situation as emotionally devastating, expressed relief that the young woman had been found unharmed.
