The family of Owoyomi Oluwasegun Emmanuel, a full-time Master's student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Lagos, has raised an urgent alarm over his disappearance, appealing to the public for any information that could lead to his safe return. Owoyomi, who was diagnosed with depression linked to prolonged emotional and stress-related challenges, has been missing since 5 July 2026.

According to the family, Owoyomi had been exhibiting signs of mental distress over the past few months, prompting them to take him for medical evaluation. He was diagnosed with depression and also experienced hand tremors. He received medical care and was receiving support throughout his recovery. However, on 5 July, he left home to buy yam and eggs but did not return. The family tracked his phone and located him in the Ologode area of Ikorodu later that day and brought him home safely. Tragically, he left home again that same night and has not been seen or heard from since.

The family is deeply worried about his safety and is appealing to anyone who may have seen him or has any information about his whereabouts to come forward. Owoyomi is described as tall and was previously fair in complexion, although his complexion is now noticeably paler. Owoyomi, who is a postgraduate student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Lagos, is reportedly 27 years old and hails from Oyo State.
