A fresh bandit attack along the Gurusu‑Anka highway in Zamfara State has left several travellers critically injured after armed assailants opened fire on their vehicle, highlighting the ongoing insecurity in the northwest region. The victims, residents of Nahuce community in Bungudu Local Government Area, were rushed to the General Hospital in Anka for emergency medical treatment following the attack.
