The bold reforms and capacity-building initiatives of the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, have once again received international validation as the FCT Commandant, Dr. Olusola Odumosu, was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate in Peace and Security Management by Prowess University, Delaware, USA.

The prestigious award, presented during a ceremony at the Army Resource Centre, Asokoro, Abuja, also came with Dr. Odumosu’s induction as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management. Both honours underscore his dedication to transparency, accountability, humanitarian service, and transformational leadership – values that mirror the CG’s reform agenda for building a world-class security corps.

In his remarks, Dr. Odumosu dedicated the accolades to the visionary leadership of the Commandant General, stating:

“This recognition reflects the enabling environment and strategic vision that have redefined the NSCDC’s standard of excellence.”

The NSCDC Headquarters affirmed that such honours are evidence of the Corps’ growing reputation globally, driven by the CG’s unwavering pursuit of professionalism, discipline, and enhanced service delivery across all formations nationwide.
