Veteran Yoruba actress Peju Ogunmola is grieving the unexpected death of her only son, Shina. The tragedy occurred on Monday while Ogunmola was at a movie location, where she was informed by colleagues that an actor had been rushed to the hospital.
Upon reaching the hospital, she was devastated to learn that it was her son who had passed away. Shina’s death comes shortly after he had celebrated completing his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, a milestone that brought his mother immense pride.
Ogunmola, widely respected in Nollywood for her acting and contributions to the industry, has received an outpouring of support from colleagues, friends, and fans, who are shocked by the loss. The cause of Shina’s death has not yet been officially disclosed.
