The traditional ruler of Elem Kalabari, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari (Dabaye Amakiri I), has rolled out a ₦30,000 monthly bursary for students of Asari-Toru Local Government Area, Rivers State, who are enrolled in tertiary institutions.
Speaking at his residence on Friday, Dokubo-Asari explained that the financial support is designed to ease the economic strain on students pursuing higher education. He clarified that the bursary will only be available to verified students who are not already covered under his existing scholarship scheme.
In addition to the announcement, the monarch advised students to steer clear of cultism, substance abuse, prostitution, and other destructive behaviours. He urged them to channel their energy towards academic excellence and self-development.
