Former senator and activist Dino Melaye has taken to Facebook to accuse political actor Edward Onoja of involvement in past plots against him, reiterating long-standing claims about attempts on his life and efforts to undermine his political standing.
In the post, Melaye said Onoja “should keep quiet,” alleging that Onoja once called Governor Yahaya Bello his “twin brother” and played a part in actions directed at the former senator. Melaye further claimed Onoja supported a Federal Government case brought against him before the FCT High Court presided over by Justice Goodluck — a case Melaye says he won. He added that Onoja appeared in court as a witness.
Melaye also alleged that Onoja was involved in his recall campaign and boasted that Melaye “would be dead before the end of June 2017.” The post recalled a series of violent incidents Melaye says he survived, including four assassination attempts; he added that 12 people were killed in one of the attacks, among them his nephew, whom he said was killed at their compound in Iluafon.
The post concluded with Melaye urging followers to watch an attached video, saying “records don’t lie,” and accusing critics of now “whining” after past actions. Melaye’s message framed the accusations as part of a longer political struggle and a personal fight for survival.
None of the allegations have been independently verified by Stone Reporters News. Efforts to obtain responses from Edward Onoja or other parties named in the post were not included in this update. We will follow up if official comments become available.
