Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has directed the Ministry of Works to commence a comprehensive assessment of potholes and failed road sections across Uyo metropolis for immediate repairs.
According to the Governor, as the rainy season comes to an end, the state government will embark on full-scale road rehabilitation alongside the desilting of drainage systems to mitigate flooding and protect existing road infrastructure.
Governor Eno reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to infrastructure renewal under the ARISE Agenda, which prioritizes road safety, urban beautification, and improved mobility for residents.
He emphasized that the exercise aims to restore Uyo’s roads to better condition and ensure a cleaner, more sustainable city for all.
“Our administration remains committed to improving infrastructure across Akwa Ibom under the ARISE Agenda, ensuring safer roads, smoother mobility, and a cleaner, more beautiful Uyo,” the Governor stated.
