Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has dismissed claims of any religious crisis in the state, emphasizing that Kaduna operates as an inclusive and united society. The governor made the remarks on Saturday during a mega rally organized by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kafanchan, which was held to welcome new members who recently defected from other political parties.
The event saw Senator Sunday Katung, representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, officially leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the APC, a move publicly endorsed by Governor Sani. The governor also commended other lawmakers who had defected, highlighting the inclusive nature of the APC-led administration in Kaduna State.
“In Kaduna, we operate as one family. There is absolutely no form of discrimination,” Governor Sani said. “I want to make it clear that there is nothing like a religious crisis in Kaduna State. Ignore those who thrive on spreading religious and ethnic divisions.”
His remarks aim to reassure residents of Kaduna and observers nationwide that the state’s administration prioritizes unity, equity, and peaceful coexistence across religious and ethnic lines, even amidst political transitions and party realignments.
