The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is on the verge of declaring Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), as the winner of the Anambra State governorship election, following what observers describe as a historic landslide victory across the state.
Preliminary results uploaded on INEC’s Result Viewing Portal (IReV) and tallied from collation centers indicate that Soludo has won in all 21 local government areas, securing overwhelming margins in every zone of the state.
The victory, if confirmed, would mark one of the most decisive electoral outcomes in Anambra’s political history, consolidating APGA’s dominance in the state since 2006.
Observers note that the election process was largely peaceful, with only isolated reports of vote buying and logistical delays in some polling units. Turnout was moderate, but Soludo’s strong grassroots presence and performance record appear to have galvanized massive support among voters.
As final collation continues at the INEC headquarters in Awka, the Commission is expected to formally announce the results and declare Governor Soludo re-elected for a second term within hours.
Political analysts say the result reaffirms Soludo’s popularity and the enduring influence of APGA in Anambra politics.

Stay tuned for official confirmation from INEC as developments unfold.
