A concerned resident, Nafiu Dan Kasa Nagari, has raised strong allegations of marginalization in a recent scholarship exercise linked to Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, who represents Kaduna South Senatorial District.
According to Nagari, the distribution of 56 scholarships in Kauru Local Government Area heavily favored non-Muslim beneficiaries, with only four Muslims reportedly included.
He described the alleged imbalance as “politically insensitive,” especially in a local government where Muslims form a significant portion of the population.
Nagari warned that such perceived exclusion could deepen political mistrust ahead of future elections, urging the senator to adopt a more inclusive approach in order to maintain the confidence of Kauru residents.
He cautioned that “marginalization in any form is a dangerous path for a politician seeking unity and progress.”
