The Nigerian Army has reported a series of coordinated military operations across different parts of the country, leading to the interception of suspected terrorist logistics supplies, the disruption of planned attacks, and the rescue of abducted persons within the last 24 hours, according to an operational update made available to the News Agency of Nigeria.

In the North-East theatre, troops under Operation Hadin Kai recorded one of the most significant interceptions when a truck carrying large quantities of medical supplies was stopped at a checkpoint in Nguru, Yobe State. Military sources said the vehicle was initially declared as transporting beverages and household items, but a detailed search revealed hundreds of cartons of medical items, including antibiotics, injections, bandages, and other healthcare materials.

According to the report, the driver and three other occupants of the vehicle were immediately apprehended. During preliminary interrogation, the driver allegedly confessed that the consignment was destined for terrorist elements and was to be transported through Geidam toward routes leading into the Republic of Chad.

Security officials say the interception highlights ongoing efforts by armed forces to disrupt the supply chains that sustain insurgent groups operating across the North-East, particularly those affiliated with ISWAP and JAS factions.

In a related development within the same operational theatre, troops arrested a suspected insurgent collaborator in Ngamdu, Borno State. The suspect reportedly admitted to being tasked with sourcing food supplies for terrorist fighters. He also allegedly disclosed that insurgents were regrouping in areas around Gubio and Magumeri, raising concerns about possible renewed movement in those locations.

Further arrests were recorded in Monguno, where two individuals suspected of facilitating terrorist logistics were taken into custody. Items recovered from them included mobile phones, cash, and personal effects believed to be linked to operational coordination. In a separate but related operation, security forces also apprehended a woman and her three children reportedly connected to a known terrorist figure.

Military officials said troops also successfully repelled an attempted infiltration by insurgents in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State. During the engagement, troops reportedly ambushed the attackers, forcing them to retreat and abandon weapons and other supplies. Follow-up operations led to the rescue of three kidnapped victims from a nearby terrorist enclave.

In Bama Local Government Area, troops conducted clearance operations that resulted in the destruction of a terrorist camp. The operation reportedly forced insurgents to abandon their positions under sustained military pressure as security forces continue efforts to dismantle remaining hideouts in the region.

Elsewhere in the North-Central zone, troops under Operation Safe Haven conducted stop-and-search operations in Plateau State, leading to the recovery of weapons from suspected criminals. A suspected gunrunner was also arrested during the operation as security surveillance continues across vulnerable corridors.

In Bauchi State, military personnel carried out follow-up operations linked to earlier airstrikes, resulting in the rescue of additional kidnapped victims. Authorities said the operation was part of broader efforts to track fleeing suspects and dismantle criminal networks operating across state boundaries.

Within the Federal Capital Territory, troops engaged in anti-illegal mining operations raided a site in Gwagwalada area council. Equipment used for illegal extraction activities was recovered, although several suspects reportedly fled the scene upon the arrival of security forces.

In the southern region, troops under Operation Delta Safe responded to a communal clash in Delta State, restoring order after one fatality was recorded. Security forces were deployed to prevent further escalation and ensure stability in the affected community.

The military also intensified its anti-oil theft operations in Rivers State, targeting illegal refining sites. Several facilities were destroyed during the raids, while large quantities of stolen crude oil and refined petroleum products were recovered, as part of ongoing efforts to curb economic sabotage in the Niger Delta.

Military authorities reiterated their commitment to sustained offensive operations across all theatres, emphasizing the disruption of terrorist logistics networks, protection of civilians, and restoration of stability in affected regions. They also noted that intelligence-led operations and inter-agency cooperation remain central to ongoing security efforts nationwide.
