The Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) in Osara, Kogi State, has expelled four students and rusticated a fifth following disciplinary investigations into serious offenses including alleged lesbianism, physical violence, and the cloning of female students’ photographs without their consent.
The university’s Senate approved the sanctions at its 30th Regular Meeting held on April 29, 2026, after recommendations from the Students’ Disciplinary Committee. The decisions were formally communicated via letters signed by the Deputy Registrar of Academic Affairs, Mr. Eli Usman Gbadafu.
The expelled students include two female students, Ezekiel Precious Omeneke and Aku Joy Chinyere, both of the Economics and Accounting departments respectively, who were dismissed over their alleged involvement in lesbianism.
Another expelled student, Musa Abdulhakeem Onimisi of Petroleum and Gas Engineering, was found guilty of physically assaulting and stabbing a fellow student. A fourth student, Dominion Kolade A. of Physiotherapy, was expelled for allegedly cloning and circulating photographs of two female students without their consent. In addition, Agbakaru Kosikochukwu of Radiography was rusticated for one academic session for fighting and physical assault. Two other students implicated in the image cloning case were also reportedly dismissed, though their identities have not been publicly released.
Vice‑Chancellor Professor Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu commended the disciplinary committee for what he described as a thorough and diligent job. The university management reaffirmed its commitment to producing graduates of both character and learning, warning that it will not compromise on discipline or adherence to its rules and regulations.
