The newly crowned Miss World Nigeria 2026, Queen Tamunosoye Karibi-George, on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, paid a thank‑you visit to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bayelsa State Housing and Property Development Authority, Rt. Hon. Tonye Emmanuel Isenah, PhD, in appreciation of his support during her successful journey to the national crown.

During the visit, Rt. Hon. Isenah congratulated Queen Soye on her achievement and expressed confidence in her ability to make Nigeria proud at the forthcoming Miss World pageant in Vietnam. He assured her of his continued support and prayed for her success in the international competition.

In her remarks, Queen Tamunosoye Karibi-George thanked Rt. Hon. Isenah for his encouragement and support throughout the competition. She also reaffirmed her commitment to promoting Nigeria's rich cultural heritage and empowering young people as she prepares to represent the country on the global stage.

Karibi‑George, a 26‑year‑old communications professional from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, was crowned Miss World Nigeria 2026 on Saturday, June 6, at the grand finale held at the Balmoral Hall of the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos. She edged out 20 finalists to clinch the crown, winning the Best Advocacy Award for her initiative, “Beyond Labels,” which focuses on inclusion, dignity, and empowerment for children with special needs. The theme of the pageant was “Pride, Power, and Purpose.” Her victory earns her the privilege to represent Nigeria at the 73rd Miss World Festival, scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from August 9 to September 5, 2026.
