President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside several state governors, paid a one-day working visit to Owerri, Imo State, where he commissioned key developmental projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma. The visit, held amid much fanfare, highlighted ongoing efforts by state governments to deliver the dividends of democracy to their people.

The President, accompanied by members of his cabinet and political leaders, was received by Governor Uzodimma and his team before embarking on the commissioning of strategic infrastructure projects across the state. The projects, according to the Imo State Government, reflect its renewed determination to provide lasting solutions to infrastructure challenges and promote socio-economic growth in the region.

Among the governors present was the Governor of Benue State, who described the event as a demonstration of unity and shared responsibility among Nigeria’s political leaders. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that Benue continues to record tangible progress, particularly in the areas of infrastructure renewal, economic expansion, and social development.

“As leaders, we share a collective responsibility to deliver the dividends of democracy to our people. What we are witnessing in Imo today under Governor Uzodimma’s leadership is evidence of purposeful governance. I remain fully committed to ensuring that Benue State also experiences steady transformation through policies and programs that impact lives positively,” he stated.

Governor Uzodimma, in his remarks, expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for honoring the invitation and for the federal government’s continued support to Imo State. He explained that the commissioned projects were part of a broader vision to reposition Imo as a center of commerce and innovation in the Southeast.

The President commended the Imo State Government for prioritizing developmental projects that directly touch the lives of citizens, while urging other states to sustain similar efforts that align with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The one-day visit further strengthened collaboration between the federal and state governments, with stakeholders stressing that only through unity and shared commitment can Nigeria achieve sustainable development across all regions.
