Speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Caroline Panglang Dafur, used the platform to condemn human trafficking, molestation, and child labor, describing them as grave social vices that threaten the future of children and young people.
Hon. Panglang Dafur appealed to parents, guardians, and community leaders to take stronger action in protecting children from exploitation, emphasizing that the government remains committed to ensuring the safety, empowerment, and dignity of women and children across Plateau State and beyond.
The ceremony was chaired by Chief Ephraim Usman, who represented Governor Caleb Mutfwang. Chief Usman commended the organizers for promoting cultural unity and urged Nigerians to continue preserving traditional values while rejecting practices that undermine social harmony.
