He called on the people of Borno to continue cooperating with the military and security agencies. Zulum emphasized that defeating Boko Haram is a shared effort, and residents should stay alert and give helpful information to security forces to help bring peace back to the region.
He said, “Yes, we have seen attacks on our communities and security forces, but the worst is over. We will keep working together and sharing information to end this violence.”
Zulum added that the number and scale of attacks used to be overwhelming, but today, there are signs that peace is returning. He said, “While we mourn every setback, we can see that the worst is behind us. Our goal is to keep moving toward peace, and we are committed to achieving it.”
The governor also praised the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers fighting Boko Haram, calling them heroes. He assured that the government and people of Borno stand with the military and will not take their sacrifices for granted.
