Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has added another accolade to her growing list of achievements after winning the Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL) Save of the Month award for November.
The 24-year-old, who joined Brighton at the start of the current WSL season, earned the honour for her remarkable save during a tense league match against Liverpool. The shot appeared destined for the net, but Nnadozie reacted with lightning-quick reflexes to palm it away—an effort that immediately drew applause from fans and viral praise across WSL platforms.
Analysts have described the save as one of the finest goalkeeping moments of the season, further cementing her place as a standout performer in England’s top division.
Since arriving at Brighton, Nnadozie has become a fan favourite, known for her commanding presence, agility, and consistency between the sticks. Her form in the WSL mirrors her exploits with the Nigerian national team, where she serves as the Super Falcons’ first-choice goalkeeper and has earned global recognition for her leadership and superb penalty saves.
The award also underscores the rising influence of Nigerian women footballers abroad, with Nnadozie leading the charge as one of Africa’s most celebrated goalkeepers. She currently holds the title of CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year (2025).
Nnadozie’s latest achievement highlights her growing dominance on the international stage and her vital role in inspiring the next generation of African female athletes.
